The day before She turns 3
Dec. 4th, 2005 10:40 amThe party went very well. It was almost too many people but everyone had a great time and were entertained either by the kids or each other. Caroline had a good time. She did really well with sharing with the other kids. The only time she wanted no part of the party was about half way through opening presents. Everyone was looking at her and she wigged for a bit. She came back later and finished opening presents. She got a lot of cool presents and is playing will them all. She has a Cinderella Tea cart which she loves pushing around the living room and pouring people tea. She has a puzzle which you use a magnetic fishing pole to get the pieces out of the puzzle. She has lovely new clothes. She hugged a pink dress from her grandparents. She has also been playing with her fairy tale castle along with Ariel. I can't tell who is having more fun with it. This morning Ariel opened up the little people construction set from Aunt Beth and Uncle Randi. Caroline is fascinated with all the sounds and things it does. Another hit in Caroline land.
The guests all had fun. The little kids played with the bigger kids. Ariel had a viewing of Shrek in her room for any who wanted to watch it. Caroline had her party dress on. Everyone had fun with the balloons and most of the kids participated in the craft project. The cake went over very well and was the right size. Everyone had some and there is enough left for tomorrow. The house was trashed but then I expected that. Peter kept the kitchen in good working order and I finished the picking up of the corners this morning. The living room will have to wait until tomorrow since the cousins are back and they will be playing with all the toys.
Tomorrow she turns 3. What a wonderful time I have had so far and I am looking forward to the rest of her life too.
I am grateful that the party went so well.
