New ways to make Noise Pollution
Oct. 22nd, 2005 10:50 amAnyone know of a good screen cap of the Wing Monkey Logo on the back of the Motorcycle jackets used in the Muppets Wizard of Oz? I need it for a project and don't have a way to do it on my machine.
Riding on the train can be an interesting experience. With the rise in the use of the iPod and other MP3 players comes a rise in noise pollution. It uses to be that one inconsiderate boob would be playing the current music too loud for the rest of us not to enjoy. Last night I wanted to wrap the bud cords of their iPod of two individuals. One who I renamed Disco Stu for the squawks and beats coming out of his ears and the other had an opera on at a level that makes me wonder if they are partial deaf.
Caroline has such an imagination. She can figure things out really fast. We have these end pieces to our couch that hang over and give us a little table to put stuff on. I took on of these off and put it on the couch so I could get to the sewing machine. She protested and tried to pick it up. She ended up propping it up so she could use it as a slide for her bears. She spent about half an hour sliding her bears down it with the appropriate sound of "Wheeeeeeee!"
One down and three to go on Most Happy. Last night someone, yet again, knocked into a light tree and I had to figure out what I could substitute to fill in the lack of light. I have got to get the house manager to tell the patrons to be careful when seated next to theatrical lighting. Fortunately the actors are use to this by now and just go with the flow.
Today I finish my vampire detective. He is pretty far along but my time is short to get him done even though Hurricane Wilma may be playing havoc with our plans. I am beginning to wonder if Wilma is going to be passing by during Halloween which will make it a very wet holiday.
I am grateful for the ability to hear my daughter's joyful "Wheeeeee!"
