The Hat Dropped
Oct. 14th, 2005 11:28 amYa know how sometimes things can change at the drop of a hat. Well Most Happy may be moving to a new venue this evening if we can't work something out with Bennigan's where we were. We have an alternate space but it is not as nice and the show will look more like a staged reading rather than a very rehearsed show. I am waiting for the call to tell me what is going on today. Makes for an interesting day indeed.
Caroline's energy level is up and she is almost back to full perk. Ariel is running fever again so is staying home until she is fever free and feeling better. I got to sleep in sort of since I kept waking up to cough up a lung and then try to get back to sleep. Overall I think I feel a little better but my glands are still swollen and my face is very sore. Peter is fine. Gwen is fine. Shana has a sinus infection but a couple of days off to try to deal with it and she is not even in the immediate area.
I don't think that the week of rain is helping any either. Yes, it has been a week now of pretty constant rain. There is lots of standing water on the roads because the storm drains can't handle it all. Stalin, our alpha cat, who loves to escape into the outside world ran for the door this morning when I opened it to let Peter out of the rain. He poked his nose out the door and then turned tail and ran as far away from the door as he could get. He is currently hiding in the living room closet. It is the kind of day you find a good book that is an old friend you want to reread and a cup of hot soup. I think I am off to find my copy of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
I am grateful for the feeling of dry.
