EyeBall Day
Jul. 29th, 2005 08:00 amOrder is slowly being resorted to the David Household. Just in time for me to get on with my next couple of projects. Not perfect but you aren’t in fear of a pile of paper killing you if you brush against it and you can use the kitchen without out fear or having to move stuff.
I saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yesterday. Best movie so far this summer. I know there has been resistance from the lovers of the previous film but with all the remakes out there, this is not the one to take a stand on. If you like Tim Burton’s body of work this fits right in. If you loved the Dahl book, this movie is so much closer including that the songs are all the lyrics that Dahl wrote in the book with a kicking soundtrack by Danny Elfman. Depp is at his insanely best in this film. The children are well cast. I know the ending is different than the book but over all it worked quite well and I don’t think they are going to produce Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. I laughed and gasped at what I was seeing. A sumptuous visual feast that goes very well with popcorn.
Today I am declaring an eyeball day. I want to make all 15 pairs of eyeballs today. I am hoping I can find my glue gun and glue sticks since I know where my drill is as well as my elastic threader. Mwhaaahaaahaaahaaa. I feel a little like a mad scientist at times.
I am grateful for my feet as they heal from the various injuries and blisters they incurred during vacation.
