One more major piece done and one to go
Jun. 30th, 2005 09:12 amDown to one big sewing project and all the fiddly bits I have till Monday to get a majority of it done before we are back into scheduling heck. I want to get the big project done today because that will give me some sense of accomplishment rather than this nameless dread of something lurking over my shoulder made of large amounts of cloth. I worked on the hand sewing last night while watching “Dancing with the Stars” and the Mets lose to the Phillies. Hand sewing takes a lot longer than I remember.
Caroline is playing more with her construction toys. She can put her mega-blocks together and pull them apart now. She seems to be very structured in what she does with them. All the squares are stacked together as are all the rectangles of the same size. She does enjoy building with me. She hands me the pieces she wants me to use next in constructing something. She is also stacking her blocks more often again in the same sort of pattern of all of the same kind.
I have been watching “The Muppet Show” while I have been sewing. It was a well structured variety show with each one being just a bit different to make each unique. I had forgotten how funny “Jabberwocky” was in the Brooke Shield’s episode where they had a go at “Alice in Wonderland.”
I have been listed as a guest at Crescent City Con and DragonCon this year. I am looking forward to both. I haven’t been to Crescent City before but it sounds like a blast and a half. We’re also doing Shoreleave and a convention in Canada which names escapes me.
I am grateful I get to attend conventions.
