The Tonys are on tonight. I’m cheering for Spamalot. I have heard that the other shows are good too. I want to see a number of them and might now get the chance. I am glad that they broke out a revival category a number of years ago to allow new works to go head to head. Money seems to be on The Putnam County Spelling Bee to take the prize like Avenue Q did last year. I was happy how well Ave. Q did last year. It opened the door to more puppets in mainstage theater. Good news for me. *grin*

Puppet Class was a mix of happy and sad. We did a lot in the 3 hours and there were hugs and tears by the end. Manamana went over very well. A bunch of us did the entire song before class. It was fun seeing all the puppets acting and interacting. We have decided that the phrase ‘Manamana’ is almost pavlovian in its ability to get the same response which is “Doot Do Da Doodoo.” I have pictures from the last class that I hope to post soon.

Today we are thinking of going to the Irish Festival that is in the park down the road from us. It is apparently a pretty big deal. Lots of groups singing and playing. Vendors selling and the like. I have Caroline’s ‘Celtic Girl’ T-shirt ready to go. It promises to be a lovely day weather-wise. I think I am going to go out and enjoy it.

I am so grateful to Leo and John for all that they did for the class.
