Caroline is having a blast right now playing with my Maglite flashlight. This is one of the bigger ones that you see cops and bouncers carry around because in a pinch because it can double as a weapon. She has control of it and hasn’t dropped it. She is shining what little light you can see on the cats and me then laughing at our reactions. She has made some sort of game out of it.

Puppetry Class was lots of fun again and done in the blink of an eye. John is covering a lot of stuff in a short period of time. We worked on both Avenue Q style and Television style. John is encouraging us to bring in our puppets so I might do so next week. I’ll see how I feel about hauling one of my puppets into the city. Next week might be a good week for it since I have to head right home afterwards because Peter and Ariel have a bowling tourney. My arms are not as tired as I thought they would be.

Nintendo Land was insane. There were people lined up almost down the block to get free downloads of characters for Pokemon. This line consisted of both kids and adults with gameboys waiting their turn. There was a slightly shorter line to get into the store. We lucked out that since we were press, we could break in line to get into the store. Peter talked to both staff and patrons about why they were there. One guy was a fount of information and he gave Peter the run down on current and future product. Caroline found it fun to run around this circular display. There was not a ton of people in that part of the store so she could do so without disturbing anyone. We went to Virgil’s BBQ for lunch which is one of the better BBQ joints in the city.

We headed home with a stop at Babylon Lanes to try to sort out the dinged bowling ball Peter was given for the PBA tourney he participated in. Good things too since Caroline was in some gastro-intestinal distress. Some gas drops which either still work for her or the taste calms her down got her through the crises point. I also was able to change her poopy diaper so she was not sitting in that the rest of the way home.

The much touted rain did not appear. It was a nice sunny day with a bit of a breeze which made it very pleasant to walk around. This morning it keeps changing between cloudy and sunny so I think scattered showers is going to be pretty accurate. If it stays nice, I’ll take Caroline down to the playground she loves. If it is raining, then I will find some other activity to amuse her with.

I am grateful for all the fun I had yesterday.
