Butterfly Belling Day
May. 13th, 2005 08:47 amAccording to my calendar it is Friday the 13th or Butterfly Belling Day in which every well-behaved Butterfly is adorned with a tinkling silver bell. Yes I do have a strange calendar that I consult. I also have a Lord of the Rings calendar with copies of drawings by Tolkein that we use for the family stuff. Then there is the school calendar in the kitchen which gives us information of what is going on in the school district including a budget election next Tuesday. I have the calendar in my computer and on my PDA. I found out recently that I have one on my cell phone too.
I found out about the superstitions concerning Friday the 13th through a comic strip. My parents held no belief in any date being unluckier than others. In Pogo the character of Churchy LaFemme had a very irrational fear of Friday the 13th to the point where he would hide under his bed and say, “You know that Friday the 13th is on a Tuesday this month.” I have found Friday the 13th to be a pretty good day for me. I have gotten good news or was more aware of the good news I was getting that day.
It was weird dream night for me last night. I can only remember bits and pieces but several things stick out. In one the cats came to inform me that they have unionized and were on strike for more pets, treats, tuna and less time locked up in the dining room. They had Millie be their spokesperson...er...cat. In another an Arab man in Bedouin dress handed me a bucket that held a dark substance and told me to get rid of it. I asked him what was in the bucket. He said it was a bucket of negative zeros. I said there was no such thing and he replied that that was the problem and why I had to get rid of it. My mind works in mysterious ways.
Today is going to be a catch-up day from some stuff I didn’t get done earlier this week. Then I have the puppetry class on Saturday which I am looking forward to. I am going to float a couple more resumes into the river of possible jobs also.
I am grateful that my mind seems to be very active.
