Almost Interviewed
Jan. 19th, 2005 03:55 pmThanks to one and all for your good wishes. They mean a lot to me. There was a fly in the ointment however which was no ones fault it just kinda happened.
I made it into the city on the slow train because the express was cancelled. It was 10:10 which gave me 20 minutes to make my appointment. As I made my way through the city my cell phone rang. It was the assistant to the person I was interviewing with. They were out sick and can we reschedule. * Sigh* Well these things happen. It was not a total loss. I got a majority of the Human Resources stuff out of the way and I had lunch with a bunch of friends who I hadn’t seen in a while. Out of this I agreed to make a large snake puppet. Should be an interesting challenge. I think I am going to make the eyes light up among other things. I have until 2006.
So we have rescheduled the interview for 10:00 AM tomorrow so if you could keep me in your thoughts then.
This does get me back in the train riding habit. On the way to the city I read Peter’s first draft of the script for Starpoint Academy. I really liked it and that’s about all I can say on the matter right now. On the way back I read through both the Daily News and Newsday along with two other magazines (one on dolls and one on fitness).
It was sort of snizzling in the city but as I moved further east the snow became heavier and thicker. By the time I made it home it was snowing hard. This morning they were saying a dusting. Well if they mean 3 inches then they got it right.
I am grateful for the Lunch Gang. It was great to see y’all again.
