Free Floating
Jan. 13th, 2005 09:05 amFoggy is the word of the morning. I can’t see a block down the street. It is kind of eerie and comforting at the same time. Running lights on cars are a must today. Rumor has it that the fog is going to burn off and then we will have clear skies and sunshine for a day or so along with mild temperatures for today.
I spent most of yesterday playing with Caroline. Peter had gone into the city for a business meeting at Marvel. Caroline needed some Mommy and Caroline time. So we played with her puzzles and Play-dough and Mrs. Potatohead and her blocks. We spent a lot of time with her blocks. She had learned that she can build as well as destroy. I am going to try to get some pictures of her structures the next time we play with the blocks. I can’t just leave them around because the cats have decided that they are the purrrfect cat toys and have already destroyed a couple of the pieces. I got lots of giggles, hugs and kisses from her. It was a good day to be her mommy.
Ariel and I went out to dinner to talk about the play she is in and other stuff going on in her life. School is speeding up for her in some ways. They just had the standardized English tests for the past two days. She is hoping not to write another essay until next week since she had to write a number of them for the tests. Most of her afternoons are now filled with either Show Choir or the play. On the weekends she likes to spend time with Caroline or with her friends.
I am trying to deal with the number of “floaters” I am having in my eyes. They are not a threat to my vision. I have had them checked out by more than one expert who said that the floaters are annoying but there is really not much I can do about them. I seem to get more of them when I am stressed. The real annoyance is when one takes up residence in the middle of my vision and I can’t get it to move to the side. Eventually they do break down and I have learned to look “around” them. They also tend to show up right before that time of the month.
Oh and Happy Birthday to Orlando Bloom who is 28 today.
I am grateful for clear vision.
