Sunny but cold morning. If it snows Sunday/Monday it is going to stick to the ground. The middle of the week look wet not snowy. I am hoping for good weather for our drive down south. Yes, we are driving. Just didn’t want to deal with airports this holiday season especially since one of the airports we would have to deal with is the Atlanta Airport which can be one of the biggest pains to get through since everyone has to go through the same security gates. We have a car media system that we can set up to keep the girls amused. Ariel and I are going to work on our knitting skills. I know it will take more time than if we flew but right now I’ll feel better not dealing with the airlines. Considering some of the other articles I have been reading about airports and tales told to me by friends who do a lot of travel, I think we are making the right move.
I think I am feeling better. I can’t tell. Parts of me are on the mend. The hives are fading into memory. But the antihistamines are making me feel loopy. The steroids are giving me a serious case of the munchies which I am containing by drinking water. I’ll be glad when this whole drug regiment is over in a couple of days. I am hoping that after I stop using all this stuff that I will feel better.
Speaking of feeling better, I saw buried on page 21 of Newsday: Long Island an article updating the condition of Victoria Ruvolo who was injured by a frozen turkey that smashed through the windshield of her car. She may be home for Christmas. In the past week she has made tremendous progress. She can now walk more than 200 feet without assistance which is a big leap. She is making great progress in other areas as well. She is not out of the woods yet and still has a way to go but she is getting better. Let’s keep those good thoughts going. I would love to read that she made it home for the holiday
Today Caroline is going to a Christmas party at Mommy & Me. Ariel is going to come too so I hope to get some good pictures for the website. I don’t know how much Caroline understands about these holidays. I think her understanding will be much greater next year but it is still fun to watch her participate in the celebration.
I am grateful for Coke and Pepsi products (OK I’ll admit this one is an in joke for about 3 of us)
