I Hate COLDS
Nov. 20th, 2004 08:23 amI can feel it creep into my body. I can feel my nose start to run and my ears hurt. My sinuses are killing me to the point that my teeth hurt. Yes that cold I have so far be able to avoid is coming at me full tilt and slapping me in the face. I can’t go off and curl up into a ball like I want to because Peter has a novel he needs to finish this weekend so he can get it out to the editor by Monday. So I am on baby duty.
Got a lot done on Peter’s manuscript yesterday. The word count is above 150,000 now. It is one of the longest things he has ever written and he is not done yet.
Spent a lot of time playing with Caroline yesterday. We did art together with paper and crayons. She also got hold of a pencil and drew (scribbled) in my sketchbook. I then took the scribbles and made abstract art with them.. That and I doodled on the back of a grocery receipt that was a foot and 1/2 long and 3 inches wide. The sketch book is a small one 4 by 5 1/2. The paper was 9 X12. So total art inches was 672 once you add everything up. This gets added to the 1275 I have done previously for a grand total of 1947 inches of art. 10 days left and I am going to have to give it some thought as to how I am going to finish this.
I am not giving up on the novel. I am just recognizing that I am not getting it to 50,000 words this month so I am going to give myself until the first of the year to get to 50,000
