Ariel was getting ready for school this morning when “Tiny Planets” with Bing and Bong came on. At the beginning an alien named Haley gives the set up to the series and names the planets that Bing and Bong visit. The last tiny planet to be introduced is the tiny planet of stuff. Ariel says “That’s were we live. The tiny planet of stuff.”

Yes, we do have stuff. We have a lot of stuff collected over the years. Most of it is cool stuff. We have props from movies and TV shows. We have memorabilia from all kinds of things we have done over the years. We have lots of comic book art which some day I should really archive. We have art and animation cells. We have the cover to Woad to Wuin in the living room. It is a stunning painting. The book cover does not do it justice. We have Peter’s fanzines he did so many years ago. We have action figures and stuffed toys. We have a lot of Disney related stuff. In fact Caroline is hugging her Koda bear right now with her Nala next to her. We have a large Vorpal Bunny in the living room with soft sharp nasty teeth. It is wearing a Sorting Hat. Then there are the puppets and puppet parts around the house. We have Stuff.

I like living on the tiny planet of stuff until it has to be dusted. There I am reminded of something said in a sketch I directed a very long time ago. It was a Dr. Who sketch in which the Dr.’s Mom and the Master’s Mom show up while the Master is trying to take out the Doctor. We played the moms as jewish moms. The Master is trying to prove to his mom that he does do things for her.
Master: Mother, I gave you the universe!
Master’s Mom: Universe, Shmooniverse. It’s just something else to dust.

I am off to dust our stuff now.

I had a very nice time last night at the Mets game even if they did loose in the 8th. It was Ariel, Glenn, Brandy and I. We chatted about all kinds of things and cheered on our team hoping against hope that the Mets would get to 500. It was cold but not as cold as it was last time. So I missed both the season ender of Smallville and the last episode of Angel. I caught up with both. Without Spoilers: I liked the end of Angel better than the end of Buffy. After I saw Smallville, I thought that the producers were rather clever. Now anyone who want to up their contract can be told that their characters are dead or gone or left Smallville.

This was an other day of not as much done as I want to do but a lot of quality time with Caroline. She loved her swing. She sat in her swing for about 40 minutes going back and forth. She was having so much fun. Then she had had enough and wanted to run around the yard.
