puppetmakerJust when I get a rhythm going with the costumes, something has to happen. This time I got sick. There are about a dozen places I could have picked this up but I am not feeling well. I am running a slight fever, my nose is stuffed, and my head as if someone dropped a bowling ball onto it. Trying to focus is very hard to do right now. What I want to do is curl up into a little ball and sleep but I have too much to do right now.
I did not accomplish as much as I would like but I did get some stuff done. I will continue to slog along today and keep the project moving forward. Shirt and Vest done today and the next set of clothes started are my goals. I am also going thrift store shopping to see if I can get a couple of pieces to shorten my time at the sewing machine.
I had a close encounter with a Chat Room Troll the other day that just annoyed the heck out of me. The Troll had to one up everyone with what he had done in his life. A couple of us who are parents of younger children were talking about our children and their strange behavior. This idiot shows up in the middle of the conversation, reads what I had just written, and asks if my child asked me to commit suicide would I do it? Should have tipped me off. This did not go down well with a couple of people because recently a member of the group had killed themselves. When told that was an inappropriate remark he says that 3 of his friends killed themselves. He put on an “Australian” accent to his posts which ticked of the 3 Australians who were on. The moderator put the IP address somewhere in the Midwest of the US. Again I should have left but I offered the Troll the chance to change the subject to what he wanted to talk about. He ragged on what I was saying to him for about 10 minutes and abruptly vanished. I do know that the moderators of this board have a kill switch to kick anyone who disrupts the board. If that gets tripped, you can’t get back into the chat for 3 days under that screen name. I should have just been quiet and let him flame out on his own.
I am grateful I got as much as I did yesterday.
