I think this is probably the hardest day to remember for me. I woke up this morning and had to work out what day it was. This also happened to me last week.

Throwback Thursday is a theme for a lot of people and considering where we are now, it can be interesting to look back at what one was doing years ago.

Two years ago, I was at Disney World with my friend Mary Aileen. We spent the evening in the Magic Kingdom.

Ten years ago, we were getting back from a convention and there were some travel issues.

Eighteen Years ago, I was pregnant with Caroline and I could feel her move within me. It was a special feeling I will never forget.

Twenty years ago, I was working at Del Rey on Star Wars both fiction and non-fiction among my many other projects. I loved that job and wish I could find another one like it because I was very good at it.

Thirty years ago, I was at the Yale School of Drama. I had finished my master’s thesis and was put on crew for Pygmalion as my last work study project. I was on the rail that show because I had impressed the stage crew chief with my knowledge of knots and my speed to tie something off.

Thirty five years ago, I was at Emory working in the library in the reference section. They loved me there because I managed to get things done quickly so their jobs were easier. I was also learning how to stage manage under the tutelage of Robert Schultz who just retired from Emory. He gave me a good base to work from to be a great stage manager.

Forty years ago I was attending Druid Hills High School. We had established the Science Fiction club on the ashes of the Library club. I had a group of friends that liked the things I liked and we had a lot of fun being fans.

Fifty years ago we were getting ready to move to Atlanta where my parents had jobs at two different universities. It was a bit of a leap of faith but it worked out very well for my parents as they both achieved tenure at their respected universities and are now professor emeritus.

I am grateful for all the experience my life has given me.
