Nose?

Caroline has a cold. She does not like being a mouth breather. This morning she pointed to her stuffed up little nose and looked at me pitifully as I was getting her diaper changed. I told her that I would give her medicine to make it feel better. We got downstairs and I had to deal with something so I got distracted. Caroline played for the little bit and then came over to me and put her finger on her nose and said, “Nose?” I went and got her decongestant. She took it and is now settled down in her father’s lap.

I think the next project is going to be the FarScape puppets followed closely by the next costume(s) for Shoreleave since it may be a big undertaking depending on what we do. Research is the first part of the equation and then collecting the materials. After that we put the costume together. This time I may have to do them one at a time to completion rather than all costumes at once. It might be nice to get stuff done a month in advance.

No word on the job front yet but rumors that the job has been offered to someone else. I am hoping to hear one way or the other soon so I know what I need to do next. I am getting a funny feeling that I am being tugged in a direction and need to make some decisions or choices to really go in that direction.

I do take comfort in the fact that I am a creative person. I have abilities and skills that allow me to express my muse to the rest of the world. I just have to find a way to make my muse pay for itself. I just need some time to think my way through the “how to’s” of such an undertaking. Maybe I’ll get back to the novel I started working on for the novel in a month challenge. Right now I am going to finish putting away from our FarPoint trip and cleaning up the last of the costuming mess.

I am grateful for new opportunities even if I can’t give specifics.
