Smurfs opens today. My youngest brother was quite the fan in his day. I have introduced Caroline to the graphic novels which she has enjoyed. And it had Neil Patrick Harris in it.

Got the lining done and the sleeves started. This is going to take more time than I thought due to some of the construction is rather complicated and takes a number of passed on the sewing machine. I also ran out of the thread I had been using. I thought I had another one but it was not to be so I went to the cloth store and got more so I lost some time for lack of materials.

DragonCon in 34 days.

Off to get things done.

My son and his brother-from-another-mother are Smurfanatics from way back. Through the years their friendship has weathered being raised two states apart, one in college and one in the Navy... now they live about 5 miles apart and have wives who adore each other. The four of them are in Chicago together, to celebrate my DIL's birthday tomorrow - and top on their list is to see the movie together. That just tickles me!
