Baby Giggles
Yesterday Peter, Caroline and I went into the city to run some errands that needed to be ran. Including stopping by Colony Records to pick of sheet music for the cabaret that Peter and Harlan are going to participate in at DragonCon. I even have a bit part in one of the songs. After we had finished all the stuff we had to do, we went to the Central Park Zoo. We went to the zoo proper first. Caroline would stop for a moment, look at an animal, then start running like a nut. We took her to the Tisch Children’s Zoo which had a petting section. We bought some animal feed and let Caroline “feed” the animals. She would giggle when the sheep licked the food off her hand. There were sheep, goats, and alpacas. I wish I had a tape recorder to make a record of that giggle of pure pleasure. She also made a lunch of spaghetti so she was 2 out of 3 for solid food as a meal. Now if we could only get her to eat something besides carbohydrates.
Olympics have been fun to watch. I really liked the commentator on diving. She was clear and we now have a much greater understanding of the sport. The commentator for trampoline did the same thing. I heard that trampoline had been added I was very skeptical as to how this is a sport. Having watched it and heard the explanations from the commentator, I understand why it was added. How about that high jump? It was amazing to watch these guys juuuust clear the bar. US Softball team is amazing. 8th straight shutouts. WOW! Also on last night was the beginning of the Little League World Series. It is baseball in its purest form.
I am grateful for my father getting an Apple computer all those many years ago making me a life long user of Apple products.
From yesterday I am grateful that I learned how to drive.
