A Quiet Beginning to 2011

I woke up on my own this morning. The rest of the household is asleep right now. Caroline made it to 11:37 this year so she keeps getting closer to Midnight each year. The cats are either sacked out or hiding so the only sound I have is the hum of my laptop.

It is a nice start to the year.

I could do a list of things I hope to accomplish in 2011 but I am not really feeling it.

What do I hope for the year? That the family stays healthy or gets even healthier. That we can keep a roof over our heads (both physically and metaphorically) and pay our debts. That we have time to create. That we have time to love. That we have time to have fun. That we have time to spend time with friends and family. That this year new doors will open for us and lead us to interesting places.

A lot to ask of a year at the beginning but I don’t think I am too out of line.

I am grateful that we made it through last year relatively intact.

I'm still slort on sheep from my train trip, so I didn't even try to stay up. Now I'm up before everyone else in the building and doing laundry while it's quiet.

(Psssst: Your post title is a year behind. :)

Well that is going to happen for a while until I adjust to the new year number *grin*

After staying up till almost 4 this morning I am having a very lazy start to the day.

Here is hoping you and the family have a good year indeed. Making new goals or keeping similar ones is always a good thing.
