School One-Day Holiday

Caroline gets day off from school for a teacher’s meeting that is taking place at her school. We have plans to do some things together today.

I like that she likes Cyberchase much better than Pokemon. Cyberchase is a great way to introduce math concepts to her. She had help with fractions from that show.

Ariel will be coming home from college this weekend for the summer. She is looking for a job so she can save for next year for college.

I got a bunch of cleaning done yesterday. I recovered my craft table from the things that were piling up there. I now have to continue this around the rest of the house. Next up Ariel’s room before she gets back. Or rather a quick pick up of Caroline’s toys in Ariel’s room and vacuuming.

It’s one of those rainy days off and on days. I am hoping for more off than on.

I am grateful for the dry times today.

Our kids are huge Cyberchase fans! The little dude is currently playing one of the games on PBSkids.org. I'm glad that there are math and science themed educational shows as well as literacy ones, even if I tend to like the literacy ones (Word Girl!) best.

If Ariel is interested in occasional weekend babysitting gigs, I know the kids adore her, and she's an awesome sitter. :)

The rain is just plain on here right now. I had to keep the little dud home from school because he was wheezing. Now he has had his nebulizer and is being a bit surreal in his silliness.
