LunaCon 2010 The rest of Saturday and my plans for Sunday

I haven’t been a stage ninja aka catcher in a Masquerade in more years than I care count. Last night due to life, they were short a couple of ninjas and I said I would give a hand. I walked the stage and found a couple of problems with being able to see in the dim if not dark so I found a role of bright yellow spike tape and fixed the problems as stage managers only know how. I explained to a teen, who was teching for the first time, why I put the tape down as I did passing on the information to the next generation as it were.

I got to have a short video visit with Caroline and Peter. I moderated a panel that went very well I think even though I move it slight in another direction. I went to the bar and had a drink with some old friends and talked about everything under the sun.

Today I have three panels starting at 11 and going to 3. I will then pack up my art show stuff and head back home where I will probably get there before my husband and daughter since they have been invited to participate in a music video shoot in the city. But with traffic, who really knows.

I am grateful for decent scotch and good friends.

I don't know what it is, but I haven't been able to make it to a Lunacon since 2002. Must try better next year.

We were certainly grateful for having another experienced hand there to help. Life certainly did throw us an unexpected bunch of curveballs this weekend.

As the TD, I was really thankful to have the hands, and the experience.

Thankfully, we only lost one person to the stage design, and that was their own fault, during Repo. We weren't on duty :)
