Turkey Day T-2

Usually at this point of the year I say what I give thanks for. Not that I am not thankful but considering what has happened on the TV shows I have been watching when the phrase “Let’s go around the table and say what we are thankful for” has led to total disaster to out right bloodshed, I am a bit reticent to post about the subject.

So I think I will do one on the day of and think about it until then.

I finished up Project Runway this week. I have to say that it is the weakest season in terms of drama but the professional chops of all the contestants was a step above previous seasons. They all knew how to sew and how to drape and how to make their drawing into reality. It was a drab season with a lack of color or rather bright colors and the challenges were lack-luster at best. I think a lot of the people who try out for Project Runway are doing so for the exposure because they have seen what has happened for others who have not won but gotten their work out there for others to see. They are coming back to New York for the next season and maybe it will be better because they can plan it out the usual way rather than the way they had to do it due to the lawsuit.

Today is all about the shopping for the dinner on Thursday then back to cleaning which is my life for the next couple of days or will be until Caroline’s party is done and cleaned up from.

I am grateful that Project Runway did run this year.

What lawsuit? I'm a big PR fan but we haven't had the new season yet and probably won't for a few months yet.

I have completely flunked Project Runway this time around. I saw the first one, maybe two, but haven't caught the rest. Kept figuring I'd catch them on reairings but so far no go. But I also don't feel completely out of joint about missing this season. I've flunked Top Chef, too, but I feel a bit more miffed about that than Project Runway, although I'm much better with fabric than I am with food. :)
