Everybody Strep!

It’s strep. My bet is that I picked it up at the Field Day activities. Knowing what is it now, I have a nice antibiotic which will help and I have been bathing my throat in a mixture of crushed aspirin and warm water (an old theater trick for a very sore throat) which has made my throat feel rough but I don’t feel like I am swallowing lava anymore.

How I love my husband, let me count the ways. He took over taking care of the house and the children. I just lay in bed and whimpered a lot while he made sure that hearth and home were in working order. And he wrote another comic script along with some other work as well.

So this morning I already feel better probably because the fever is gone. Fever kicks my rump harder than just about any other part of being sick. I just have no energy to do anything. Today I feel like I have a little energy and it is not as hot/cold as it was yesterday.

So back into the breach I go and get my house in order.

I am so grateful for antibiotics right now.

Strep sucks! I hope that you're feeling a lot better soon! I'm really glad that you have someone to take care of things when you're sick. Try not to overdo, is my advice.

I've never heard of the crushed aspirin trick - I'll remember that for the next time I can use it/pass it along... I am glad to hear you're healing and feeling better... maybe you better check to see if you're the topic for the latest comic Peter finished... LOL

Oof! Hope you feel better soon. My mom used to break open acidophilus capsules and mix them up with a little bit of milk when we had a really sore throat. It seemed to help. Grandpa, the salty old farmer that he is, would swab our throats with peppermint oil which, while effective as hell, is a truly disgusting experience.
