Visiting Atlanta Spring 2009

Caroline has been having a blast and a half. She has gone to the aquarium and seen the Beluga Whales and the Whale Sharks among many other fish she likes. She has gone to the Atlanta Zoo and seen the Pandas, Giraffes, Lions, Tigers (no bears), and the elephants. She has played with her aunts and uncle. She has gardened with her grandparents. And right now is taking a nap.

Caroline is amazed by the Atlanta Aquarium as was I. It is an architectural marvel especially the tanks that you can walk under.


I call this one Kwai Chang Panda. We were lucky because it was feeding time so the pandas were active.

I am grateful that I got to see all these things with Caroline.

I love the Atlanta aquarium. We went when I visited my cousin. We sat in the empty ballroom and watched the Belugas while we rested our feet. They are amazing graceful creatures. I felt a sense of peace watching them.

That's another reason to add Atlanta to the 'places to go to again' list. I love good aquariums! (Plus I don't remember much at all of the prior trip to Atlanta. Think it was a 'drive through' stop more than a real visit.)

I really want to go to the Atlanta Aquarium. The one in Tampa is nice - but I've heard such amazing things about that one!!

I've heard great things about the Georgia Aquarium and still haven't been yet. Interestingly, the Tennessee Aquarium was a yearly school field trip when I was a kid, starting at around Caroline's age.
