Día de los Muertos 2008

Happy Día de los Muertos to those who celebrate it.

I heard an interesting article on NPR by a woman who said that she would like to sit down with her dead grandmother and discuss the current election. Personally I would love to sit down with my grandparents and tell them about my life since they left it. I would love to tell them about Caroline.

Public Service Announcement!!!

For those in the US, we go back to standard time tonight so remember to turn your clocks back. I am looking at getting the clock to match my biorhythm.

My life

I got my flu shot today at the grocery store of all places. The nurse was really good. I didn't feel a thing. Now let's see if I have a reaction which, considering the rest of the year, I am expecting to happen.

I have to make a flapper headband for Ariel for a party tonight. I'll get pictures. She really likes her dress.

I think the Halloween decorations will stay up until after the election and then I will take them down.

Now off to take Treat Williams the cat to the groomer to take care of a flea problems.

I am grateful for lovely fall afternoons.

My local Mexican restaurant had a beautiful altar set up for the Day of the Dead. The owners set up a legend that explained the symbolism behind each item on the altar was. Minus the glasses of water for the thirsty dead, it could have been a St. Joseph's Day altar.

I got my flu shot about three weeks ago. No reaction, except a big red spot on my arm for several days.
