What day is it and where am I?

Travel takes it out of you. There is no two ways about it. Even though I was only on the west coast for less than 48 hours, I am still feeling the effects of the plane trips. Humans were not designed to sit in a metal cylinder with minimum oxygen for 5 to 6 hours. My brain is still recovering.

I did get some stuff done yesterday that needed to be done including the front and side lawn mowed so we are at code for the town. I got the recycling out this morning and found a dead squirrel. I think it zapped itself on the power lines but I have called the village since we are suppose to when we find dead wild life that was not hit by a car. There was one case of rabies on Long Island this summer so they are being rather strict about it.

It is a nice day for yard work and our yard needs it. I might have the clippers sharpened before I tackle the big tree but a bunch of the small stuff could get done today. It's that or another part of a room indoors. Or I might just chuck that and build a puppet. I have an idea that is either going to work or not work and I want to see which it is. Actually I have two but can only really get one done before Caroline gets back from school.

It feels like fall this morning and I like it. I function so much better with this sort of weather than I do in the heat.

I am grateful for some stuff that happened yesterday.

It was cool and grey in Atlanta today...

and I was ecstatic. Fall cannot come soon enough.
