The Crack of Darn (it)

The MacBook is in the shop and I am back on the iBook until it comes back. The case cracked right above the light that lets you know that it is on or asleep (You know the blinking all-seeing eye). It is an easy repair but it will take a day or so. Apparently it is a slight design flaw in the computer where the top meets the bottom. Why do I always seem to pick the ones with the design flaws?

It use to be that I was then very limited as to what I could do on the internet but since we did get the iBook fixed, I have an alternative until I get my MacBook back.

Peter, being a wise and clever man, told me to e-mail what I have done on my NaNoWriMo to myself so that in case I had to leave it, I would have my work so far (17210 words and counting). So I do have that. There is not much else I needed on there right now. I didn't back up my photos but nor have I wiped the chip they are on so that is a wash right now.

So I await word on my little MacBook while typing away on my iBook. The keyboards are very different but they both work so that is a good thing.

I am grateful I have a computer to use while mine is in the shop.

You might want to invest in an external backup drive. If you can get one that works with USB and Firewire, the data even becomes portable.

Just a thought.

*HUGS*

Have a great day.

Yeah, I've got a 40GB USB hard-drive. It's about the size of a calculator. Kind of expensive, but I bet the price has dropped in the year since I bought it.

...Or just save it to your iDisk, that way you can access it through Apple's website.
