A Costuming I will go
Yes folks. It's that time of year. I am hip deep in fabric creating the next David Family Production for Shoreleave. Along with the couple of things that I do for Mystery Trekkie Theater. So this web log tends to turn to all things costuming for a while.
I got a fabulous idea for a walk around costume that, if I get everything else done, I will be wearing at Shoreleave or maybe I'll costume a puppet.
Today I have to get a replacement for my ironing board cover since my cats decided to use the ironing board as a scratching post. *sigh* I love my cats but there are days I wonder if we need some very small throw rugs around here made of cat fur.
I want to see how far I can get on the next part of the project today. I want to have the costume part of the costume pretty much done by the end of this week and the rest by the end of next week which would give me a week for tweaks and packing.
Caroline has expressed much interest in being in the costume contest too. Right now all she wants to do is model her Cinderella Dress. I have another idea that I might be able to convince her to do.
Off to cut fabric.
I am grateful for everything I got done yesterday.

Sympathizing about the cats, though. The long haired gray cat in my house loves to sleep on fabric. Any fabric. And all day long. Which is okay when there's a blanket lying around, but when you're working on sewing a cape - not so helpful!

Yeah capes and cats seem to go together. *grin* Sometimes I have to locked them up because they get entirely too interested in the fabric I am pushing through the machine.

Literally? [g] That's quite a mental image!

(I came over from the Dr Who costuming group)

I picked the Icon up from the community "Ihasatardis" which is a Doctor Cat Macro and other visual silliness.
