3 days! No wonder no one takes DUI seriously

There is going to be a news conference about why they released Paris Hilton after only 3 days on at 23 day sentence that was down from a 45 day stint.

WTF?

I'm betting the Shrink got a judge (paid a judge) to spring her for mental health and/or physical reasons.

(EDIT: Apparently the jail was overcrowded and that is why they let her go or that is what is being said at the moment.)

(Edit part deux I was RIGHT! They are saying that for her health they are putting her under house arrest)

I turned CNN on in my office.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever...

She'll be confined to her home for 40 days via ankle bracelet. Ooo how awful for her.

And I bet you dollars to donuts that she will find a way around that restriction too.

Another case of American Blind Justice (just so long as the judge can cop a feel)....

Mary points out that the next damned impoverished black man who is pinched for DUI better get the same damned deal, and if she winds up killing someone she wants to sue the judge.

I would like to see DUI mean something.

It is talked about a lot but the actual penalties are next to nothing and hardly enforced.

Either it is a crime or it is not. Right now it seems to be an inconvience.

It gets better. The "medical reasons" for her change in sentencing is because the little princess was refusing to eat much of the food the jail was serving her.

Let her go hungry, I say.

If I can eat boloney on white bread so can she.

Looks like it's back to the courtroom for Princess Paris. Hopefully it will be followed by a return tour of her cell.

I love that the judge pointed out that in his ruling he specifically said that house arrest was not an alternative in this case therefore the Sheriff's deparment was in violation of a court order.
