And the Hits keep coming (again *sigh*)

Short version is that Peter and Ariel came out of the local mall only to find the passenger window smashed and the GPS stolen (nothing else was taken so that wwas good)

We were apparently the 4th report that day of this sort of theft

I am grateful that they only took the GPS.

Damn. You're right that it could have been so much worse, but it's too bad that it had to have happened at all. Hopefully, they'll find the jerk that did it and he'll get what's coming to him.

Argh and argh. Sorry that happened.

I've only had stuff stolen from my car once, and that was actually more a comedy of errors, mine and the robber's: I'd left it unlocked for probably the only time ever when living in a city, and the robber had taken some -- but not nearly all -- of the change from my little change drawer. Nothing else was taken, and one of the robber's gloves was on the floor. That person, at best, broke even.

I hope someone responsible for this gets caught.

I hate that! It's happened to me twice before, and I always feel it's particularly rude to break the window in winter!

Man! You're right that it could have been a lot worse, but...man! Does your insurance cover it?

So sorry.

But I'm glad the loss was limited.

Unfortunately, it's apparently a popular crime now.

Oh, awful! It's terrible to come to your car and see a window broken. I'm glad it wasn't worse.

You'd think the manufacturers would add a feature for a GPS to ID itself when it has been stolen. I mean, it KNOWS where it is, it's more than halfway to a self determining lo-jack. Probably in next year's model.

Ugh, that's terrible. It's a shame people have found something in cars worth stealing again (used to be radios or the cars themselves) but I'm glad to read that your family wasn't around when it happened and was safe.

Hope things are more normal for you now.
