When Topics Vanish
I had a great idea for my blog entry yesterday for today but this morning I can’t remember what it was.
The Supreme Court has ruled that if you buy something in one country, books in this case, you can sell it in the US. This suit was brought by a textbook company that was trying to stop the import of much cheaper textbooks that were being resold at a profit. I am not going to give you my views on the cost of textbooks since my parents have both written textbooks but have also had to pay for a quarter/semesters worth of textbooks so I have mixed feelings about it. However there were extrapolations on this was would have not allowed for the resale of cars because parts were made in other countries or power tools or just about anything that was not made 100% in the US. I haven’t read through the ruling but it is nice to know that it is legal for me to sell the Doctor Who books and Blake 7 books I got in England here in the US. Also I don’t even want to think of the problems this would cause for used bookstores.
I really wish I could remember that topic but alas it seems to have vanished along with a number of other thoughts. I have taken to writing things down all the time now because I forget things as soon as my mind goes onto the next thing that must be paid attention to. I think it is all stress related and I will admit that I have had a little bit of that in my life recently. Grocery list is next on my agenda of things to write down so I don’t come home, open a cabinet, and let out a groan because I forgot something again.
Today we have Tai Chi which is always interesting. Sifu has a set of exercises we are currently doing that are geared towards what Peter can and can’t do along with my limitations as well.
Caroline is happy that her science fair project is in. She presented it to her class and her teacher said she did a good job and could answer all questions posed to her by the class.
Next deadline, Passover which starts Monday night. Have a lot to do for that. Ariel is coming home Monday morning to help me with that. Need to get the list together for that as well.
I am grateful for lists that are complete.
