To Sleep Perchance to Dream
This entry is probably going to be a bit disjointed. I had a lousy night's sleep last night. First I couldn't get to sleep and when I did I woke up about an hour later itching like crazy and was up until about 4:15 (or that is the last time I looked at the clock). Then I was roused from my sleep by our idiot cats saw that it was almost eight and forced myself out of bed since I have a lot to do today.
Tomorrow we are having the Mystery Trekkie gang over to work out the sketch and the show itself. So I need to get the living room, which has been taken over by Caroline's stuff, back to something reasonable. I also need to continue forward momentum on the costumes for Shoreleave. I did get a pair of pants done to the hand sewing part yesterday. Today I want to get two vests and a jacket cut out and ready for the sewing machine. I also need to find my pirate shirts to save myself 2 days worth of work or I guess I could use my Snape shirt. It is interesting having a set of costumes to draw on for the conventions.
Caroline has swimming lessons today. She is really enjoying them. Last night she picked up her pink blanket and informed us that it was time for her to go to bed. She has been doing that more and more. The funny thing is it is about the time that I have set to get her to bed. I have a very body aware child. She had a bowl of ice cream for dessert the other day and she ate only one scoop and declared she was done. She took the bowl to the kitchen and put it up on the counter. She is getting better about picking up after herself.
Ariel is done with school. She took her Chemistry regents on Wednesday. Now we wait for the report card and find out whether there is summer school in the cards or if we have to redo her schedule next fall. I guess one good sign is that I haven't heard from the school that she needs to attend summer school but until we get that report card, we won't know anything for certain.
Peter got his Doctor Who story done. I read it and it was very good. He used the 8th Doctor in his. His original idea was a little too close to something else that was being done so he had to think fast which he does very well. I think the next thing on his plate is the next Dark Tower comic. Of course the artwork looks gorgeous. I think this is some of Jae's best work ever.
Our bowling team took 11 points last night no thanks to me. I had one of the worst nights of bowling I have had in a long time. Peter pointed out that I did enough to help the team stay ahead of the other team.
I am grateful for what sleep I did get last night.
