Forecast for Today: Gray Day with Sunny Smiles
One of those mornings where I look outside the window and see the beginnings of a gray wet day and wonder if it is really worth getting up. Then I get a tapping noise at my door which I open to a cheerful, "Good Morning Mommy" and a little blur scoots to the bed then hops under the covers. I get hugs and kisses and the day is not so gray.
My friend GraceCat had her baby Monday. It is a boy named Ian. I am very happy for her, her husband and Ian's big sister. I look forward to see all of them at DragonCon this year if everything works out.
DragonCon Art show announced that the e-mails saying whether you were accepted or not go out Monday with paper copies to those who are in. I think I am going to be very bummed if I don't get in this year. Yeah I didn't make any sales last year but I made a lot of people smile which is a good thing. I need to get in touch with the program directors and see if I can get on some panels this year. Now is the time to do it even though DragonCon seems so far away.
Caroline is better than she was yesterday but she is still curling up next to me and just wants to have her back stroked or her tummy rubbed. This gives her comfort as her body processes the cold that has invaded her nose. Anything I can do to make her feel better is a good thing.
Off to see if I can get the living room in order before my husband returns. (Why am I flashing on various 50s TV shows?)
