Tiger Tiger

I have installed Mac OS 10.4 aka Tiger on my computer. I haven’t played with it much yet but I already like some of the new and redone features. As some of you know I am an Apple advocate. I preach the gospel of Apple and have since I was a teenage. I just like them better. It doesn’t mean I don’t know what I am doing on another form of PC. I was the computer geek for my Borders. Anytime anyone had problems with a program at Ballantine, I would get a phone call. Peter uses my knowledge for troubleshooting on PCs when he runs into a problem. Apple just works for me. If Microsoft hadn’t invented (creatively acquired) the Windows operating system, more people would be using Apple computers.

Today I am hoping to get started on two projects. The onus is on me to do so. I didn’t get much (anything) done creatively last week but the art by the inch May challenge is in place so I thought I would give it another go. This gives me 28 days to get a lot of art done along with at least 3 costumes before June. I think I can do it. I know I can do it. I will do it. Power of positive thinking and all that.

I am grateful for the May art by the inch challenge.

Have you ever read the webcomic "Applegeeks"? I think you'd get a kick out of it.

Tiger really is rather nice. There are lots of fine features but spotlight has already proven its worth to me: the ability to key in search criteria and for it to, almost instantly, list all relevant documents, pdfs, e-mails, artwork (etc). Working in a "shared universe" setting with 20-odd years of books so seach through, that turns my iBook into a de-facto Holy Grail of reference tomes :)
