Ten things I have done that you probably haven’t

1. Had Harlan Ellison as the best man at my wedding

2. Ask Christopher Reeves to go warm-up somewhere else

3. “Freaked out” (his words) Clive Barker with a Puppet

4. Managed to make Jim Henson’s mouth drop when I asked him a question at a World Con.

5. Maintained a Mystic from Dark Crystal at a museum (His name is UrAc)

6. Gave birth to Caroline

7. Built an entire set of hand and rod puppets based on the Dr. Who actors and gave two of the puppets to the actors who played the role.

8. Had Neil Gaiman paraphrase something I told him in a graphic novel

9. Gave Terry Brooks a nickname that he liked

10. Edited a Star Wars novel and a Star Trek novel in the same month

I hope you don't mind my posting a comment; I love to make dolls and puppets and I noticed your comments on Jim Henson (and pictures from Labyrinth). You have a very interesting journal. :) I wish I could have met Mr. Henson, but he died when I was only fourteen years old.

Welcome to my blog. Thanks for your kind words.
Jim was one of the greats that made and continues to make our world a little better.

You're welcome. :)

At least I have a lifetime of inspiration left, even though Jim Henson is gone. I always loved the Muppets, but I particularly admired Henson's ability to create realistic animatronic creatures, such as the ones in Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, and The Storyteller.
