15 days to DragonCon 2011

[puppetmaker]

Yesterday I got my sewing machine to go forward again. Made a lot of pattern pieces for the puppets and got Castiel’s jacket down to the buttons.


Cas has a shirt, suitcoat and a trenchcoat. I need to put on the buttons and then he is down to the wings.

(For the Visually Impaired: This is a picture of the Castiel puppet which is based on the character Castile from the TV series Supernatural. He is on top of my coffee table which is currently covered in brown craft paper. He is wearing a white shirt, blue tie, charcoal grey suit coat, and a brown trench coat.)

Today I take those patterns I created and make the X-men First Class costumes and get a serious jump on the mystery project #2. Then I think onto stuffed animals, Phluzzies and dolls. I am afraid that the Firefly set is low man on the food chain this year and may drop off but we’ll see.

I am so very grateful I don’t have to learn to sew backwards.

I've been severely swamped over here and haven't commented on nearly as many posts as I've meant to, from the anniversary countdown onward. But I just wanted to let you know again how much I enjoy watching your creations come together and hearing how things are going in your world. I'm glad you got the sewing machine beaten into submission; that might have been a deal-breaker for me! :) And I have to admit that when I saw the quartet of nekkid puppets from yesterday's (?) post, my first thought was 'The Beatles!' heh.
