Gutter Balls

I have had bad nights of bowling before. And last night wasn't too bad for the first game but the last was just a series of bad ending with me tossing the ball into the gutter two times. That is something I haven't done, outside of practice, in years. Didn't matter, we lost that last game by quite a bit. One of my teammates had not been there before last night and she did pretty well considering it was her first time on the new lanes. I just have to stop trying to play an outside line on the lanes because, with the new oil patterns, I am in the gutter more than riding the rails.

Tomorrow is paper recycling but we have a chance of showers so just putting paper out doesn't work. I guess I'll have to pull out the extra barrel and lids for all boxes and stuff that we have acquired in the past two weeks. We have gotten a number of FedEX and other packages from various places. Each comes in a box. Many have packing material included.

Today I have a few things I want to get done and then get started on the costumes for Halloween. Ariel wants to be a flapper and Caroline wants to be Spidergirl. I have cloth and patterns for both. I may wait on the Halloween decorations until I know it is going to be dry or I might just suck it up and finish putting them out. I need to get some colored floodlights for the graveyard. Not as many houses decorating this year as last year.

I am grateful for having at least one good game last night to keep my average about where it is now.

I hear you. I bowled for crap last week. I actually just "washed" my ball in hopes that it'll start picking up oil again on Thursday

awww, cute costumes for the kiddos!

Don't you wash your ball regularly?

in bowling? no

too much cleaning or resurfacing will kill your coverstock

though if you were just being dirty, well then LOL

My innuendo is usually better (and quite frankly...MORE CHARMING) than that. :)
