Then Moving onto Point B

I'm still sorting out the photo thing. But I am taking a picture a day to record what I am doing.

What I did yesterday was get some fabric, foam, and notions I need and finish the first step for all 6 dolls. Not as much progress as I would like but at least it was something. Today is going to be some stash searching because they didn't have some of the materials I need for this project but I might have something close. That and I hope to have 3 out of 6 sculpted by tonight. More if I am lucky. I also want to do major glue mess I have to make for the monster puppets. That gives them a couple of days to dry.

I also went out to lunch to meet up with a friend and drove Ariel to summer review for her Math regents that she is taking tomorrow so think good thoughts for her.

Caroline has a Diary. She saw me writing in my paper journal and asked me what I was doing. I explained what a Diary was and what I was doing. She latched onto the idea and wanted to make one of her own. So Sunday we got her a notebook with puppies on it. She has been drawing and writing in her Diary since. She is very serious about it. (Note to Caroline: When the question comes up, when did you begin keeping a Diary, your answer is August 10, 2008).

Peter is working hard on a project that he is hoping to get off his desk today. Then he has a series of things he wants to get done before we go off to Toronto.

I am grateful for things that will work for things I can't find.

Cool--glad the puppets are progressing well. That's cool about the diary, too. Ours doesn't have a diary, but for the past week or so she's been very focused on learning to write "so I can be ready for kindergarten." She's also been coloring a lot, and is very careful about filling each space exactly and staying within the lines. It's nice because she was like this at two and is getting back to that again a bit, alternating quietly studious with crazed hellion. :)

It's awesome that Caroline has started keeping a diary! :)

Also, good thoughts for Ariel (math - *shudder*)!

I asked for a diary for Christmas when I was in third or fourth grade. Dad immediately started teasing me about wanting a dairy. That Christmas morning, resting on the toe of my stocking, was a candle shaped like a cow -- my dairy. (I still have it.) I also got my diary, one of those small six-ring binders, so I could add/replace pages as needed. Mom made a felt cover for it and hand-decorated it. The best part was noticing that she nearly wrote 'Dairy' instead of 'Diary'. :)

I love the idea of a Caroline with a diary.

Is she private with her feelings or public?
