Doctor Who Speculation for the next episode BBC

My speculation or random thought is behind the cut.

Of course spoilers are allowed and probably in the comments

Again this is end of the season speculation based on Internet rumor

Who else feels like RTD is gonna hit the BIG RESET BUTTON before he hands the show off to Moffat?

I'm betting that Gallifrey comes back along with the Time Lords by the end of this season.

I'm betting that a number of other things that RTD changed from the original are going back to what they were.

I'm also not sure how I feel about that.

So what do you think?

I've seen a promo photo of Doctor Ten in Gallifrey costume. I don't *think* it was doctored. (heh) Hmm.

I *think* it was on the cat macros group. I shall see if I can find it again.FOUND IT!

And thank you! I did not make it (the icon or the macro), but I do only steal the best. [g]

After seeing the Richard & Judy clip, I'm more convinced than ever that the fourth season is ending with the Reset Button.

A Dalek invasion of Earth circa 2009 is going to have massive knock-on effects on previous continuity.

Also, it makes "Dalek" (in 2012) make no sense.

There's too much to hide or hand-wave away on the one hand, and it's such a massive change to Earth's status quo that Earth would become unrecognizable on the other.

And yes, I think that your suggested conclusion is what RTD is building toward. I mean, it's the logical endpoint for the story. And then Moffat can start fresh.

In short, I'm in agreement with you. I'm excited by the trailers, but I'm also a bit terrified.

I'm betting that Gallifrey comes back along with the Time Lords by the end of this season.

Lou (my SO) has been saying that since we watched the first episode after the Titanic. He keeps saying that if they're changing things enough to give the Doctor Rose back, then they've got to include Gallifrey in the deal. It's also the only thing that could redeem the whole mega "Angel of Death" motif that they've got going this season.

I think that picture is from last year. When they brought the costumes in for The Sound of Drums, David Tennant modelled them so the producers could decide to use them or not. The Doctor Who Magazine has used that image in there in fake newspaper a couple of times over the last year.

Csalem.

My own thought--though it's wishful thinking:
