I dropped my bombshell on him, "Well Dad, Jim Henson would really like a copy of the tape." I can still remember the pause and then my father saying, "Ok maybe for him."
This made me LOL.

What a great story. One of my classmates in middle school had great plans to become a puppeteer and work for Jim Henson; he brought his creations to school and I remember being so impressed with him. Working with Muppets seemed like a brilliant career choice to me! I will never forget how absolutely broken he was when Jim Henson died. I hope he continued along the puppeteering path.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your wonderful memory of a wonderful man.
