Oh Gawds Above and Below...Why not ask me my top ten?

There is a lot about me that I find annoying but a lot of time it is that annoying voice that pops up in my head.

There is when the annoying voice that tells me to buckle up. Last time I didn't listen to it because the seatbelt was being difficult, I got a ticket and a court appearance. Through total luck of the draw I got the sane judge in the system and pleaded it down to a fine with no points and a promise to never do that again.

There is when the annoying voice guilts me into cleaning. The voice in my head begs and pesters me to just clean up the Kitchen. Just one room. Oh you finished the room? Hey, how about the living room? This voice is loudest in my head when I have about 20 other things on my plate.

There is when the annoying voice reminds me that when Caroline is being THAT QUIET, she is up to something and I should probably find out what.

There is when the annoying voice keeps telling me that chocolate may taste great but it doesn't solve the problem at hand. (The voice substitutes other words for Chocolate like Beer or alcohol or fried food or anything else that tastes great but isn't good for me in large amounts).

There is when the annoying voice reminds me of a project that has a deadline but I seem to be spending a lot of time on my computer wasting copious amounts of time doing not much. (And telling the voice that I am doing research doesn't cut it)

As much as this little voice drives me nuts, it also keeps me safe and sane at the same time. Would I like to shut it up or off? Sometimes, but I have to remind myself that it is there to help me be a better me no matter how annoying I find it.

I think every time your voice is taking a break, it's because it's visiting my head telling me the same kind of stuff. :)

Think about it in this way: If you didn't have That Voice, you wouldn't accomplish a whole lot. Except for when you ignore it and eat all that chocolate, that is ;)
