I Think Today Is Saturday...

Well I did have to look at my calendar. My time sense is all screwed up. Yesterday felt like either a Saturday or even a Sunday but it turned out to be a Friday. This will sort itself out by next Thursday when Ariel goes back to school and our schedule will approach something closer to normal.

The weather is very grey and rainy. I shouldn't complain considering that there are areas that are screaming for rain. My parents were very happy when it rained while we were down there. It also rained a good bit for them yesterday. Not the end of the drought down in Atlanta but a little relief for the plants and animals in the area. We may get some snow up here on New Years Eve. It would be an interesting way to finish out the year.

My tasks from yesterday didn't get as done as I would like but I did get a bunch almost completed. A majority of stuff is back in place. The laundry is done and the house is in pretty good shape. So I think I will finish up at least one of the two dolls and a couple of short writing projects I need to get done before I have to turn the Calendar again.

Peter is interested in watching the Giants vs. the Patriots game tonight. Possible history in the making in several ways. I'll make sure we have the right snacks for the event. Personally I think it will be close for the first half of the game and then the Pats will start pulling forward for an absurd win.

Off to the next task.

I am grateful for puppets that make me smile.

The thing that makes Pats/Giants particularly interesting is that the Giants are also in the playoffs, and locked into their spot. If they weren't in the playoffs, or had home field advantage or a bye to play for, they'd presumably give it their all to prevent the perfect season. As it is, they have more reason that the Pats to rest starters and anyone with the slightest injury as they have to play next week.

On the other hand, the Pats do have a bye, and so Bilichek will probably keep the starters in for at least a half to avoid rust, if not longer (read: Brady needs two TD passes to beat Manning's record).

Assuming decent weather, I'd say Pats by 21.
