Clearing the Mind

I have become over the years a believer in using cleaning of a space as a mind clearing exercise. There is just a feeling of peace when looking at a clean space to me. I find that I have to clean up from one project to get another one started. I can't get into the groove of the next thing I am doing creatively without clean-up from the previous creative mess. This has been a lesson long in the learning. I am hoping to teach it to Caroline as an early age. I have been insisting that she clean up her previous project (puzzle, drawing, princesses) before going onto her next one. She is getting to be a self-starter on this now so maybe she is learning this lesson now.

I got into the habit of making lists and breaking down projects into smaller components while I was stage-managing. I am a champion list maker now. I can break a job down into its tiniest parts. I have my long-term lists and my short-term lists. Again this helps me clear out the mind. It can be interesting to go back and see lists I made years ago both long term and short term.

Not much else is coming to mind this morning to write about. My mind is already sorting out a puppet idea that I need to finish today.

I am grateful for peaceful minds.

I so agree. Unfortuantly mind has been rather cluttered recently.

Mine as well, but I am working to unclutter it.
