RTBTCKI The Good Kind of Perfect Storm
Yesterday was not a metrological Perfect Storm but I liked it a lot. It was a Perfect Storm for me in that we had lots of snow and it looked bad but by the end the snow was melting and this morning the walkway is clear and dry as is the driveway. Car has only a little ice on it that will probably melt on its own by the time I need it.
Happy Pi day! I like science based holidays.
Rest in Peace Stephen Hawking. He kept beating the odds considering he was informed he would not make it out of his 20s. He will be remembered for his brilliance and ability to break things down so a layman could understand what he was talking about for the most part. His was a shining example of the human spirit fighting against the odds and winning.
Today is the day that students across the United States are going to walk out in support for sensible gun control so that they would not join the list of the remembered from school shootings. Caroline has no school today due to a superintendent/teachers conference being held at the high school. Monday she was at the UN. Tuesday was a snow day. Thursday she is going into the city with her art class to view museums. Friday she will be back in school.
We saw a Wrinkle in Time. Over all I enjoyed seeing a simplified version of the book on the screen. The young actors were very good in their roles. Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and Mrs. Whatsit felt like the characters in the book. I had one major problem with the film and the scene was in the trailers for goodness sake. They never ever explain the tesseract or the theory behind how they traveled from planet to planet which was a fundamental part of the book that, for anyone who read the book, burning into your brain. They talk about tessering but no where in the film do we have the putting the two points together on the straight line and jumping from one point to the other and attaching that to the word tesseract. Bother me a lot.
Black Panther is breaking records all over the place. This film will be looked back in film history as a turning point in film. What that exactly means will be sorted out by history. I am glad that I got to share the experience with friends. I love that the Wakanda forever hand gesture has now become part of the culture so fast.
Don’t get curry power in your eyes. It burns a lot.
We are almost to that week to make a puppet. Let see if I can get this one done and to its new owner in a timely fashion. I also need to refurbish another puppet before next weekend. Can I do this? Yes, I can.
You have two weeks to figure out how you are going to kill Glenn. Already got some killer stories in. Join in the fun.
I am grateful for storms that looking impressive but leave little clean up.
