DragonCon 2016 Arrival

It is interesting that this year I have watched two conventions come to life by arriving before the big event. At SDCC, we arrived on Monday and the show started on Wednesday. We watched as the landscaped changed into the convention mode. Here at DragonCon we arrived on Tuesday and there were already signs of DragonCon on the horizon. We have seen things starting to windup.

I spent today visiting with my friends Jeff & Angelo and replacing my power cord for my Macbook Pro. Then we checked into the hotel and returned to my parents for my very early birthday dinner. Mom made me an amazing cake with my favorite frosting. My dad proved yet again that he knows me very well. I will show a photo of what they got me on my birthday.

I unpacked us and got the room organized since we are going to be here for a few days.

People are already starting to walk around in their costumes. There is a Pokemon Go meet up and LARP happening right now. The convention goers are creating their own convention within the convention.

Tomorrow is about getting our badges and setting up Peter’s table and my space in the Art Show.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend. There will be photos.

Then Friday things really start to crank up and we dive into the convention with both feet.
