Hey I need that
But first Rest in Peace Fyvush Finkel. You might not know the name but you would probably know the face. He was a character actor who is probably best known for his role on Picket Fences but he was so much more including a radio announcer, a champion for Yiddish Theater, and a comedian.

(For the VI: This was taken in front of Lincoln Center in New York City. On the left is Mr. Finkel wearing a light brown coat and holding a brown cap. Peter is to the right wearing a brown leather jacket)
This is one of those New York City stories. Peter and I had gone to see Company with Neil Patrick Harris in the lead at Lincoln Center. Before the show we had gone to a restaurant that had been recommend to us by a friend. The décor of the place including pictures of actors and actresses know and not as well know. On the pillar next to us was a photo of a young man with a large CBS microphone in front of him. Peter said, “I think that is Fyvush Finkel.” I agreed and Peter said that he would like to be able to ask him if that is it was.
After the show we are walking out of the theater and I saw a man walking with a friend and said to Peter, “Is that Fyvush Finkel?”
Much to our surprise it was and we had a very nice conversation with him. It was his photo at the restaurant back when he was working at CBS radio back in the day. He told Peter that he was working on his autobiography. Peter told him that he had at least one sale as soon as it came out.
My right knee as I have stated has not been the most friendly of late. It has been bothering me a bit as far back at SDCC but I could walk and I could exercise it if I was careful. I walked around Universal and Disney and it got worse. By the time I left Tampa, it was not comfortable to walk for most of the day. I put it down to muscle strain.
Then yesterday I was walking upstairs with nothing in my hands. I stepped on the right foot and I just about passed out from the pain. You know when they jump to light speed in Star Wars? I had that happen to my vision.
So today I am going to the Doctor’s office to probably be sent off for tests since they really can’t tell me anything. I’ll get the run around until the co-pays rack up to an acceptable level then discover what is going on.
This is making puppets a little more difficult but not impossible.
More on that tomorrow.
I am grateful for the ability to walk normally.
