Slip Sliding Away
Last night we got, officially, another inch and a half of powder snow on top of streets that were just getting passible.
This made this morning’s journey to retrieve Caroline all the more fun.
Caroline had a Girl Scout overnight activity yesterday. Her troop, along with several others, went to a hotel and learned about the business of running a hotel. It was a sleepover with movies and popcorn. She had a grand time. She is using the red sleeping bag that I used for camp and sleepovers at friends houses from about the time I was 7. It is a Sear’s sleeping bag and it still is warm and soft.
One more load of laundry and I have done the laundry for the week. Go me.
I have been reading books on procrastination and have come to the conclusion that I have a serious case of creative procrastination, which I plan to work on this year or however long it takes. One thing I do know is that I try never to be late to be somewhere in fact if I am not there about 5 minutes early, I feel late.
I have also been revisiting some of my puppetry books to see if I can work out how to do something. I have this idea, which need EL wire and is going to take a long time to rig but since Peter started writing X-Factor, that really need to get this idea done.
They are saying rain/snow for the Superbowl. I am hoping for snow there and not here. It will make for an interesting game. Payton has to prove that he can be a good quarterback at under 40 degrees F. The Seahawks are salivating at getting a chance at taking down Payton. I just hope everyone comes out of the game relatively unscathed.
Yes, I have had my coffee for the day.
I don’t think a death watch (a watch that counts down to your demise) is a good idea but that may just be me.
I am glad I haven’t shopped at Michael’s Crafts in a while. There has been another credit card information breach into the database. The sad thing is that is this is becoming more common as the systems used by retail stores become old and easier to hack.
OK going to wrap this up and take care of some things that need to be taken care of and then I plan to be crafty.
I am grateful for times when I get things done for me.
