A few housekeeping things
Casa David is fine. The fierce storm did a number on the area but I walked the property and we have a couple of limbs down and a lot of leaves that had been stripped off the trees in the wind but that is about it.
If you have a complaint about me, please bring it to me and not pass it through a 3rd party in hopes that it gets to me. I don’t appreciate it. I know that you know how to get in touch with me. That is all I am going to say in the matter.
Now back to those Random Thoughts
Sorry Popfiend but I don’t have a good feeling about the Jets game this weekend nor am I really positive about the Giants game either.
Derek Jetter will become an actor after retiring from baseball.
Mets won and take on the Braves in a pretty important series for the Braves with the Mets able to play spoiler if they play well (which can be a pretty big if these days).
Interesting that the number of people in poverty went up while the number of millionaires and multi-millionaires also increased. I also think we need to rethink what the poverty line is because you can’t live on what they say you can live on at the poverty line unless you are in an area that is severely depressed and the price of goods reflects this.
Exercise in young children helps their brains to develop. I like that Caroline’s teachers are trying to make sure that the kids get sometime to run around outside without structure (recess) and that they recognize how important that time is to the children.
I am going to go join the Y next week I think. They have a family plan that I think will fit within my budget. Also they have children’s programs that I think Caroline would really enjoy participating in.
Looking forward to October where we have less travel than we do right now. Staying home is looking exciting at this point. But I knew the job was dangerous when I took it.
I am trying to finish up one project so I can go onto the next one. But this one is taking longer than it should. I’ll get it all done eventually.
There are a couple of other things spinning around in my brain pan but not quite ready for public consumption.
I am grateful that Caroline goes to a school where the teachers are worried about the kids’ achieving their best not the state enforced tests.
