RTBTCKI ( the A Lot To Do edition)

(For New Readers) RTBTCKI is a series I do. It stands for Random Thoughts Before the Coffee Kicks In and it can be focused or all over the place depending on what comes to my brain.

Bowling was really a mixed bag last night. My first game was probably one of my worst in 4 years. After that I seem to be doing OK. In the final analysis, I didn’t do my average any harm but nor did I do it any good. And we were up against a good team.

Sometimes I am reminded how different my life has been than many other people. I was talking to one of the locals about something and it came up that I had gone to Yale for graduate school. They were impressed but wondered why I was living here with all that knowledge and education. I said because this is where my path lead me. Another lady, who joined the conversation about this point, told the first lady of all this stuff I had done with my life. It is interesting to hear someone else describe what you have done. The first lady was amazed that I had done all this in my life so far and told me that she wish that she had those adventures when she was younger. I pointed out to her some of the very exotic travel she has done with her husband that she has told me about. But she said that mine was more exciting since I did rather than observed life. And I guess I have. I’m not much of a sideline player.

Apparently the Mets have also lost John Maine for a while. No team should take great satisfaction in winning against the Mets right now since they are playing a team that seems to be made up of second stringers. Most of the prime players are injured. We are losing pitchers and every day players like fruit flies. Tonight they travel to battle the Yankees and I have no idea what sort of game it is going to be considering both sides.

This is a busy weekend for the David Family. We have a birthday party for one of my nieces tomorrow and Flag Day on Sunday (Happy Birthday a little Early Sheila). Caroline and I are going to clean up her room as her present to Daddy. I cleaned up Peter’s office as my gift to him. Ariel is working on her room too. That’s what he wants a clean house and we plan to give it to him.

I am hoping that the weather improves this weekend since we are back to walking through water again today. They are predicting thunderstorms and high winds later.

I came up with an idea yesterday that I need to mull over a bit more. But I think I have something within it. More when I can be less cryptic but I wanted to publicly bookmark when I had the idea in case there are problems later.

I am grateful for things that make that time of the month more bearable. I just wish they would start working.
