RTBTCKI (T minus 4 edition)
Doonesbury is hitting a little too close to home for me this week. It has been a number of years since I was downsized but the sting is still there. My sympathies to everyone else who finds this cartoon a slice of their lives.
Crappy sleep at night recently hasn't been helping me get stuff done. It's not the coughing which I seem done with along with the sinus pressure, but the weird and often scary dreams that keep waking me up. Some would honestly make a good horror movie or murder mystery. My mind is trying to sort something out at the expense of my sleep pattern.
It is nice, however, to be most over this last illness. I am only coughing in the evening really with no more than normal sniffing for me.
I am debating whether to attack the room I have been avoiding or cleaning the room I am sitting in. Either way, a room will be cleaned today.
Plaxico Burress is an idiot. A gun in the waistband of his sweatpants? I have to agree with Jon Stewart that you should at least wear jeans or slacks and a belt if you are going to tote iron. And the bouncers let him in with it. They knew that he had it. It was a fricking Glock. Why was he at a club where her felt he needed semi-automatic heat and why did he bring his team mates with him? I hope that his suspension is upheld. The sad thing is that even if the Giants can dump the rest of his contract, after he gets out of jail, he'll find a team that wants him to play for them for an absurd amount of money. Think Pacman Jones. I also find it sad that in the NFL human life is held in less regard than an animals. Shoot a Bouncer, serve your time and get another team. Fight dogs (which I think is wrong on so many levels) and you are blacklisted by the NFL.
Off to get Caroline ready for School.
I am grateful for not waking up with coughing fits.
